As a result of these special workshop experiences, couples who resented each other break through old barriers and begin to love each other. Distant and long-forgotten hurts are repented and forgiven . Tears of reconciliation flow. Conversation becomes free and uninhibited; sometimes just banter, sometimes deep sharing. New friendships are made; old acquaintances are renewed.
  During the final weeks of the workshop, participants can embrace the aweinspiring
Pantanal on a boat trip to Port Olimpo in Paraguay and fish on the jungle-lined Salobra
 
Reverend Moon has a light-hearted
exchange with the participants.
River. From the boat they can see crocodiles, piranha, otters, monkeys and parrots. An excursion up the Perdido River reveals breath-taking waterfalls and crystal-clear water teeming with fish.
 At the same time, these trips are pilgrimages to places where Reverend Moon spent long days fishing in the jungle waters and sleepless nights in prayer. The stories about what he did there create an intimacy with the man that takes the participants to a place of ultimate
meaning.
 Indeed, for many who complete the Ideal Family Workshop, memories of Jardim evoke the timeless standard of what life in heaven is meant to be.
