FAMILY VALUES
MINISTRY |

In America, where
family breakdown is rampant, Americans still
turn to their churches for answers. Yet clergy
are at a loss. Many are so busy trying to
minister to a congregation full of divorced
families and sexually-active teens that they
have given up trying to challenge their lifestyle.
Those that wish to take a strong, biblically-based
stand against the winds of the prevailing
culture often find themselves isolated and
unpopular. These clergy have given Reverend
Moon's family teachings a warm reception.
The True Family Values Ministry provides family
and marriage guidance based on Reverend Moon's
teachings for utilization by the clergy in
their ongoing work. It has sponsored national
seminars in Washington, D.C., which were attended
by nearly 5,000 ministers and family workers
in 1996 and 1997. In addition, Ministry affiliates
held
numerous local seminars nationwide. Ministers
and priests flocked to these seminars because
they answered a pressing |

priests and Muslim imams. There is a natural
synergy created between the Family Federation,
which looks for support for its campaign to
revive the family, and the clergy, who rejoice
to see their congregation attend the True
Family Festivals and leave with newfound joy
and deeper commitment to their marriages.
Leading ministers who met with FFWPU
members found new allies in the battle for
a godly society. They opened their churches
for True Family Festivals and other Family
Federation programs. They invited Family Federation
representatives to speak at their churches
and denominational meetings. They began to
