"Even
a suit of clothes that others have worn
becomes a gift of joy to those who need
it. Small acts of true love, gathered
together, create a garden resplendent
with flowers of true love that will
cure society's serious ills.
"It will even hasten the liberation
of our North Korean brethren and the
unification of our motherland."
Aewon
means a place where one entrusts true
love, a good deed and service. Aewon's
purpose is more than charity. It is
striving for genuine peace that is
founded on brotherhood and mutual
prosperity. Aewon aims to eradicate
not only external poverty, but also
the strife and antagonism among different
regions and peoples. Moreover, by
fostering an ethic of public service,
Aewon seeks to awaken people's original
human character. This is the foundation
of a beautiful world of harmony and
love for all people, regardless of
race, religion, nationality or social
status.
Aewon was founded in 1994 and
