There are a lot of young people here.
What is your greatest
difficulty when you go out there and try to convince other people who we
are? What is the most difficult thing that you face? I guess it is to
try to prove that Father is the Messiah. Right?
Let’s talk about the
anti-Christ. What is the anti-Christ? Can anybody tell me what the
anti-Christ means? Can you define to me what that is? You have to if you’re
going to tell somebody else the opposite.
Many members in the
room offer various answers including:
Somebody that says
they have all the answers but doesn’t…
Someone who block
people from following the messiah…
Communism…
Obstacle to coming to
God…
(Hyo Jin Nim can’t hear
someone’s answer and he says: "I’m sorry I have a lot of wax in my ear.")
So, what else? What else is the definition of the antichrist? (He continues
to encourage participation from the members and the replies continue for a
while.)
(Somebody that prevents
people from coming to the Christ.).
Knock yourself out. We
have to talk about this stuff. The more of it, the better.

Okay, what else? Let’s
talk about this stuff. Let’s talk about the antichrist before you talk about
the Messiah.
Please enlighten me, and
enlighten yourselves in the process because this is the opportunity, Come
on! I’m all ears and everybody’s listening! You can say whatever you want.
(obstacles to coming to God) Well whatever. More, I want more! Please,

to be the Messiah figure when actually they’re not.) Oh, okay, give me more.

Let’s just try to reach
the end of what we have in and of our desire to understand what the answer
is. I guess that’s why, if you want to start something, If you expect
something from me because of my status (as Father’s son), at least give me
the benefit of the doubt.

experience that keeps us from fully accepting True Parents) Whatever

expression becomes more serious and he begins to speak again) I
believe that the best definition when you come to that kind of question and
that kind of questioning... You have to define individualism as a concept,
that is wrong in concept. The anti-Christ in its self is the concept
of individualism.
It is very very
important. You have to look at it as a concept not a single individual.
You’re not looking for a Devil here. It’s a concept a concept called
individualism. That’s what antichrist is. Even the old guys like St
Augustine talked about that stuff. You have to understand that there
is a possibility of anti-Christ in you.
Unless you address the
anti-Christ inside yourself you can’t fulfill our duty correctly as Moonies.
You have to get individualism out of the picture. You have to nullify that
nonsense. Because it will get you if you don’t do it right, if you don’t
answer the question correctly. You know what I am saying?
It’s a concept;
anti-Christ is a concept, not an individual. Trust me on this. This
will live for a long time, this is a good gig. Trust me. From here you
build your understanding. I want to show you guys something, something that
you can do something with, I guess. I don’t know you guys that well,
but that’s important. You have to look at it that way. It’s a concept that
is wrong, not an individual.
Why? Because remember
the fall in itself in the Garden of Eden, that kind of mythological story,
something like that. It’s the opposite of that. Individual stuff
became a concept. Do you understand? Trust me on this! If you want to
fix it, then go back to what went wrong. And what went wrong is that just in
reality as you and I know it, reality as a concept; we have to change the
concept.
If you can change that
concept, then you can change the essence. I’m sure that you have a lot
to say about why you don’t want to be a selfish idiot. You want to
suffer for the sake of the greater; you want to die for… Hey, look…. So be
it!

Put it into perspective,
on your own, somebody will tell you how to do it. If nobody does, then you
can do it on your own eventually. That’s it. God will win. Don’t take
yourself that seriously. You will die. What do you think that all
this stuff is about?
In some ways it is kind
of like predestination, isn’t it? Everything is about predestination. If
it’s about that and in the end if God wins, it’s about predestination. Trust
me. Okay? If somebody wins in the end, no matter what you do. That’s
called predestination. So what does that mean? How do we understand the
concept of predestination?
Let me tell you my
opinion whether you like it or not. It’s all about give and take, learning
about give and take. If God is the Almighty, that’s it. It’s all about
learning about the true process of ontology. That’s it. And why do we
need good examples? Why? Because we DO need good examples to tell us what
good actions are. That’s why we need good models.
I know that you can
think about all these things, but without really trying. the least we can do
is think about it. That’s about it. It’s pathetic, but it’s true, absolutely
true. What do you do with your thinking? How do you make things go
forward, which you believe? If you want to make money, then go make money. I
don’t care.
Have something,
regardless of what you believe. Do something! Do something beyond… Be
a man! Be a woman! Be human! Animals just act to survive.
We think that we can get away with a whole lot of stuff where in the animal
kingdom there’s no way you could survive.
So do something; do
something. Say something. If you want to think something and make that
thinking into something that affects someone next to you, now that’s very
difficult. That’s difficult, very difficult.
Do you think that you
have something that can you change the thinking of the person next to you
already in your possession, in your control, in your dominion? If you do
then you’re good; you’re set; you have no problems.
All you have to do is
improve and increase that. Whatever you believe in, make it bigger; make it
better. I don’t know what it is. I don’t know you. You want to die for
something? You have to die for something. If you want to live then you
have to think about dying, otherwise you’re not truly balanced.
If you want to be in
control in your life then you’d better know how you’re going to die. Trust
me, if you don’t understand that stuff, you’re not going to make it. Trust
me. Anyway, if you want to live, you’d better know how you’re going to
die.
Why? Because you want to
be individual; you want to be AMERICAN! (laughing, the last sentence was a
joke) Okay, no problem, be a great American, but you’re in control, nobody
else. You know what it is. You know why you’re living; you know why you’re
dying, and you’re going to do your best, do as much as you can; be the best
you can be for what is important to you. That’s about it.
That is the basic
premise about why you believe in God, in my view. I don’t care what
you think. (emotional pause) But I have to live with this till the day
that I die, knowing that I have to deal with this truth. (long pause)
What do you say guys? That’s about it and you die.
Every year you try to do
your best and it never ends. You want to live for others. There is no other
way. If you have a better idea, then you do it. There is no easy way when
it comes to some things. What can we do together with each other? I
hope that we have good people here that can do what we have to accomplish.
That’s all I hope for. I don’t want anything else. In the end it’s
communication. It’s all about communication. You know that. Right? In the
end that’s all that is important. You know that’s important to you young
people.
It is all about
communication. It doesn’t matter how it’s approached or the style in which
it’s delivered, presented. The only important thing is that the message is
delivered. So how do you go about communicating the message?
Some people think that
we need to have an Air-Force and a Navy and an Army. If you want to put it
into that context, then go ahead. Knock yourself out! This is the
twenty-first century, you have to take initiative. If you understand the
direction, then do something about it and take responsibility for it and
inspire other who are doing the same like you.
I know that I’m going to
die, but let me die harder; let me die faster; let my death be more
relevant. Can you inspire me to do that? That’s a good thing for you. If you
help somebody, some pathetic fool, that’s a good thing. Why did
all the young people come here all of a sudden? (Someone says that they are
from STF. There were 3 STF vans parked)
I was comfortable with
all the old folks that are dying. Now I have to think different.
(Addressing the 2nd
gen)
This stuff is important,
everyday give and take. Preaching is important. Regimentation is very
important. You have to train yourself. You can do crazy stuff but the
regimentation is important too. You have to know how to balance that polar
opposite. That is the only way you can realistically control reality. If you
think you can, only time will tell. So be it.
Basically that’s how
you’re going to go about trying to prove that stuff. Why? Because you
live for somebody else, not yourself. Right? Trust me, that’s
important when you think that me standing here saying this to you guys is
important.
You have to live this
stuff that we are talking about. It is important. Trust me.
It is very important. It doesn’t matter what you get out of it for yourself,
if you want top do this, you have to do this for your own sanity, and your
own reality, and balance. and if you don’t do it you will get corrupted.
Trust me.
Your life is short; and
you yourself have to be sure that you know what it means when you say “I
live for the sake of others.” It is true. Trust me. So that’s why you
have to know how to plan your life and know how to die well!
You want to be smart?
That is smart. If you can do that, you’ll be a free man.
Remember: The anti-Christ is not an individual; it is a concept. Trust
me. This gig will last a long time, but we’ll see. In my mind, it
will. It’s a good gig.
