Are
you concerned about all this sectarian violence around
the world? It’s bad isn’t it? It seems like its only
going to get worse. I think it’s only going
to get worse before it gets any better. That kind of sectarian divide will
increase on an academic level, religious level, and political level. Then
we’ll just see more of it before it changes.
How did you join; how
did you join the church? Why did you join the church? How many people are
still going out there and trying to reach out and still keeping on the faith
and doing the duty of trying to spread the word, the news. How many people are
truly serious about that mission of educating the rest of the world based on
the principle which was taught by Father?
You see even in the
church of course Father wants to institutionalize more and more. Why,
because He’s 86 and In 2012 He will be 92 years old. As the days go by He is
only going to get older. He is not going to get any younger. That’s for
sure.
It seems like certain
things we still have to hold on to because of who we are. It doesn’t matter
if the climate is political. That doesn’t make everybody just run and become
a 2nd rate politician. That kind of stuff
always, I’ve seen it many times you have this kind of hoopla and woo
everybody crawls over there to want to get into business and whatever.
Whether it’s in politics or you become an educator or whatever. There’s a
kind of fad even in our church. But I don’t think our
lives should be governed and dictated by fashion. If you’re going to change
somebody, it’s going to take a long time.
And if you ever had to
take care of some young members or whatever, let’s say that that person has
an attitude problem they’re arrogant and sure of them selves. Dealing with
that kind of situation takes a whole lot of time. It doesn’t happen
overnight. You have to be a parent, a teacher. You have to be sometimes a
friend and a brother, even a sister (laughing). You have to play a whol host
of roles, sometimes everything under the sun, and maybe even counseling or
therapy, what ever it demands.
That’s the point. That’s
what you have to do, just to save one soul, just to save one guy, young guy,
new guy or gal. That’s just the reality. And how can we expand if
we loose something that is so true and valuable?
Something just doesn’t
change. It’s just like the concept of rearing children as a parent. The
parenthood, it’s universal. What works never changes, regardless of what
your religious belief and discipline might be, it doesn’t matter.
Some things are
universally true; there ARE universal truths. Yes what we’re trying to do is
say that we’re unique and that our uniqueness represents God more than
anybody else. SO BE IT! Before you say that you
have to apply universal truth to your life and to our actions, to our belief
and actions. Otherwise all that unique stuff doesn’t matter.
It will not sell. How
can you convince somebody that you are this, if you can’t convince them to
persuade them. Even just to sell a
cookie or cereal somebody has to see the value in it before they purchase
it. Just dealing even in business they try to make money and dealing with in
animate things they go out there and try to make money. So be it! That has
to be proven. By what? By the quality
of the product.
How can we prove our
selves are what we say we are? We can never lose sight of that fundamental
universal truth. If you’re going to make a difference, that’s how you have
to do it. If you’re going to institutionalize, certain things have to
be bedrock. Certain things have to be fundamental before you start expanding
and going overboard.
There is so much
information out there, even human stories member’s stories their life
stories and stuff. There’s a lot of stuff; I read it but sometimes it gets
lost in translation I guess. Some people don’t get it
because it’s not translated properly, or not translated in time and there’s
such a long delay in things. When you’re living in
the world of expediency and convenience that becomes a real serious problem
because you look like an idiot; you look like an inefficient system.
How the do you prove to
the world that we are better when more and more people are just becoming
more fashion oriented based on what ever is given a hand in one moment? Those things are
important things that we always have to address, because if you don’t we’ll
lose it all one day. The word might stay, but it’s going to take a longer
time to bring it back.
Father will go down in
history, yes sure absolutely but what about you? The only solution is to
practice that stuff isn’t it? Just to go out and try it again; that’s the
only way. Do it and bring more people in, and try to reignite that fire that
once was lost, step-by-step, one person at a time. If that is what it takes
that is what you have to do.
There is no shortcut to
greatness; there is no shortcut to success. Maybe there is in America. Maybe
you win the lottery. How many people win that stuff? Think about the whole
misunderstanding and separation that people have toward the United States
with each other, therefore this kind of sectarian violence and divide.
It’s so observable all
around the world. Even when you think
about the Muslems that hate America, they do have an issue which we can
understand. But our capitalism and democracy create opportunities and
freedom, even if you have so many questions about certain methods and
certain ways, certain things that are accepted.
And you can understand
why they want to blow up Americans, the great Devil. Of course you can’t
condone those kind of things, but they do have an issue and we live with it.
It’s difficult for us to change. So that’s why they try to blow you up.
That’s all they know I guess, but they won’t change.
People want to be
better; people want to feel joy in life and have something to be proud of to
give them those things. They want that kind of prosperity and what ever
happiness that comes from it. Sure, no problem, but there are ways in which
you can go about achieving that, but violence is a questionable method. As
long as there is a questionable method it’s going to be difficult to bring
any kind of stability permanently.
So how do you go about
changing that? How do you change America when so many (immoral) things under
the banner of freedom are guaranteed, protected absolutely? You aren’t going
to change it. It’s Religion and that sanctimonious stuff. They’ll die before they
try to change it. They’ll die fighting for it. So how are you going to
change the situation? It’s going to take a long time to inspire, even your
children.
I other words you have
to absolutely inspire generation after generation on and on and on
unendingly until it happens, until the change happens, the change that we
can see, that we can feel. That we can guarantee ourselves that “yes, this
is the change; this is the change that will stay.” We can sees this change
to true values ie permanent. So you have to start
with something. You have to start somewhere.
And for me it’s
something that is kind of silly, I’ve been doing stuff and I’m going into
China now and you try to think, but if I have to do this on my own you think
“stuff costs” That’s why I try to do
my best not to cross that line. There are opportunities that I know that I’m
going to get more return on this stuff, but I can’t of take advantage of my
name to exploit opportunities to make money. I don’t want to be an idiot.
But you have to start
somewhere and you have to try this kind of stuff, and the children need this
kind of stuff. The more we have, the better. Multimedia is very very
important. Why, because if we have to sell Father we have to master our
communication capability. Things are out there for a reason Things are given
to us for a reason. That timing is here for a reason. That’s the first step,
obvious step.
Look at how Fox News has
succeeded in America. It’s pretty much taking over every level in such a
short period of time. The trend with the money invested would be much less
than the way we would do it. When you look at Fox News it is literally run
by a few character driven shows, and they cycle it three times a day. They
have some live stuff in the morning and mid-afternoon. But everything else
is just a few character driven shows. The format is very simple with Cavuto,
the O'Riley, Hannity, and Greta Van Susteren. A few character drive shows
influence so many people. Just that one single person Bill O'Riley has such
huge ratings and people religiously turn his show on every day to watch him
blab for an hour long.
I watched a news story
the other day about a good guy who made money with fast food who was a
Catholic man who úsed $250,000,000.00 to create a Catholic town or something. And
a lot of people are giving their money, like the billionaire who dies and
donated his billions to charity. They aren’t giving their money to us.
They’re (Catholics) doing that, there trying to become more and more
established and showcase their life style, their tradition, their ritual,
their religion.
So you all want to go to
Cheongpyeong now? (laughing) That’s funny. What’s the story behind that
stuff? Well anyway… At least your children
can help (accomplish the mission). You guys are getting too old. You aren’t
dead yet. (Laughter) You want to die fighting. Right? You’ll go out to your
last breadth. Right? All right. If people are actually
going to make a difference, If there’s going to be a change made I’d rather
bet on your children.
All those activities
that we used to do, if we can afford them, of course they should be
continued. Because it’s important the science, medicine, and engineering
community have to be brought together, and you can’t really be intellectual
unless you can have a discourse with them and at least create a serious,
much more meaningful, much more useful foundation base on those communities.
It is necessary to help what we want to achieve.
When was the last year
that the ICUS conference was held? Anyway a long time ago. There’s a lot of
stuff that’s important because you need to communicate. You persuade people
through communication. You need to have those four. It’s very important,
especially in a democracy and free society. President Bush always
says the only just form of government is democracy. And his own people
fervently believe in that stuff, then so be it.
All those things, we
should take care, we should nurture it, even if it’s just an idea. Those things are
important. Fundamental things are important. We have to master those
fundamentals before we try to think about anything else.
It is absolutely not
going to happen. I’d rather believe in Aliens. Wouldn’t it be great if
a flying saucer landed on the White House lawn and little green men would
get out and say to the world “You have to believe in Reverend Moon or I’m
going to laser you?” I mean we can change the
world just like that! I’d bet a million dollars on that one.
So we should invest in
ourselves. These things are important; the fundamental things are important.
We should encourage, not just ourselves, but our community. We need to act
together as grass roots too. Certain things are
important and certain people, the powers that be, they need to know that. Then anything is
possible; life is short. It’s about finding something in life, this short
life.
It’s about making the
right choices and finding something of value, eternal value in this life,
because only here can we make choices that can alter your life like this or
that. Because think about it;
we believe in spirit, mind and body; fate faith and FACT! CONTROL IT! Know what that is.
Make the right decision,
right choices, know how to control it. That’s the best you can do. It’s not what you are
that gives you livelihood, that’s just livelihood stuff. Ultimately in the end
THAT is the question you must answer, ON YOUR OWN, in your lives, in your
self, in your idiosyncrasy. That is your purpose;
that is your job. Good luck!
